The Greeks were great at design and architecture. They took this talent and put it into arenas in Greece. They had great ideas that changed theater today. They were known for many things including the alters in the center of the stage for religious plays. They also had the amazing idea to curve the arena so sound could be heard all the way at the top. Arena were also meant to hold 14 thousand people. The arena also had a unique 78 foot across stage. The arenas were tall so the arenas were usually built on a hill. There were also changes in the arena including they had wooden blocks up to 499 bc when they changed to stone blocks. The cool thing to me is that they had an entire section just for the orchestra.
